It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Lawie (Twin Lake, Michigan), born in Muskegon, Michigan, who passed away on March 19, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Louis Lawie and Muriel Lawie (Moyer); his wife Anne L. Hodges; and his siblings, Beverly Provost, Norma Weber and Lawrence Lawie.

He is survived by : his children, James "Jim" Lawie of Muskegon, Michael Lawie (Shelley) of Muskegon, Kathy Carpenter (Pat Somerville) of Muskegon, Jackie Somerville (Kirk) of Muskegon and Joni Hall (Troy) of Muskegon; and his brother Richard Lawie of Grand Rapids. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
