He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Newland and Margaret Newland (Garn); and his nephew Scott Hampton. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia "Cindy" Wilson; his children, Brenda Brown of Coldwater, Jami Newland of Union City, Lonnie Newland (Jessica) of Marshall, Lori Thenen of Sheboygan and Brad Thenen of Coldwater; his grandchildren, Collin, Onalise, Noah, Holden, Sydney, Quentin, Korrin, Carson, Lillian, Chad, Kyleigh and Gavin; his siblings' children, Kim, Jen, Andrea and Brian; and his siblings, Gary Newland (Kay) of Tekonsha, Alice Cavinder (Stephen) of Tekonsha and Linda Hampton (Tom) of Tekonsha.
A public visitation will be held from 2:00-6:00 PM on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at Lighthouse of Tekonsha, 616 N. Main Street, with the number of people allowed inside at any one time limited in accordance with the established COVID-19 guidelines for public gatherings.
