With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alberta Miedema of West Olive, Michigan, born in Saugatuck, Michigan, who passed away on December 30, 2021 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, John Ortman and Hattie Ortman (Kempker); her husband James Miedema; her children, Kris Ermatinger (John), James D. Miedema, Jodi Clarke (Tom) and Amy Miedema-Barba; her grandchildren, Sarah (Chris), Laura (Nathan), Travis, Angela and Stepfanie; her great grandchildren, Luke, Liam, Joseph and Adleigh; her siblings, Sherman Ortman, Beverley Tamminga (William) and Harold Ortman (Jan); and her mothers-in-law, Louise Ortman and Kathy Merizon (Dennis). She was also cherished by many extended family and friends.
