He was predeceased by: his parents, Murl Homister and Helen Homister (Keck); his wife Nancy; his great grandchildren, Rylee Jean Giles and Hannah Marie Wirt; and his siblings, Carl, Howard and Norma Jean.
He is survived by: his children, Lee Ann Chaffee (Mike) of Fremont and Martin Homister (Rose) of Holton; his grandchildren, Adam Freriks (Sarah), Beth VanTreese (Eric), Christopher Freriks (Ericka), Jamie Boucher (Allen), Steve Wirt and Jen Giles (Kevin); his great grandchildren, Trinity Freriks, Blake VanTreese, Anna VanTreese, Aiden Freriks, Elaina Freriks, Aubrey Feriks, Kaela Carrier (Josh Pollack), Lizzy Carrier, Emmy Carrier, Jasmine Wirt, Braxten Ward, Nevaeh Wirt, Payton Wirt, Kinidee Wirt, Layla Giles and Reese Giles; and his sisters, Joyce Smith and Lucille Garza. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
