He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edward and Elva L. Ebenstein (Gibbs); his brother Carl Ebenstein; and his siblings-in-law, Donita Thwaites, Lynn Gibson and Brian Gibson.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia of White Cloud; his son Ethan Ebenstein (Julie) of Grand Rapids; and his grandsons, Trevor and Logan Ebenstein. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
