She was predeceased by: her husband Dewitt; her daughter Carolyn Kay Hansen; and her grandchildren, Rebecca Shearer, Nicholas Shearer, Katie Hawthorne and Marcy Chase.
She is survived by: her parents, Elmer Welch and Jennie Welch (Vangesell); her children, Russell Shearer (Sherri) of Grand Rapids, Tom Shearer (Terry) of Grand Rapids, Alan Shearer (Judy) of White Cloud and Jennie Hawthorne of White Cloud; and her sister Juanita Thompsen of Grand Rapids. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
