He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Reithel and Meta Reithel (Lutz). He is survived by: his wife Sallie Reithel; his children, Amy Uphouse (Brad), Andrea Chase (Eric) and Kristin Tkac (Major Andrew); his siblings, Carol Truemner (Rodney), Donald Reithel (Sue) and Warren Reithel (Connie); and his grandchildren, Camryn Chase, Logan Chase, Magdalyn Uphouse, Addison Chase, James Wayne Uphouse, Jason Tkac and Molly Tkac. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Parkinson's Foundation.
