He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Peter and Ruth Ann; his wife Catherine; his children, John Rathwell (Patricia), Julie Chambers (Jeff) and Daniel Rathwell (Judy); his grandchildren, Jake, Haley, Taylor, Jack and Ava; and his sister Sharlene Metcalfe (James).

A memorial service will be held at a later date due to the current restrictions of public gatherings in place due to the COVID -19 Virus.
