She was predeceased by : her parents, Robert McAlary and Eleanor McAlary; and her fiancé Jeff Peavy. She is survived by : her sons, Rob Rykse (Andrea) and Shawn Rykse (Melissa); her granddaughters, Ashlee, Rilee, Hailee, Paislee, Abigail and Raegan; and her sisters, Debbie Hoffman (Roger), Patricia Zuidema (Ray) and Kimberly Fearson (Leonard). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
