He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Mears and Marge Mears; his son Paul Mears; and his sisters, Sandy Schultz and Michelene Mears.
He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Lisa Schilling (Doug), Dan Mears (Rebecca), Shannon Mears and Jennifer Mears; and his siblings, Vicki Decker (Ron) and Randy Mears. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
