She was predeceased by : her husband Hellmut; her son William; her son-in-law Dave Spanjer; and her brothers, Karl, Kurt and Fritz Baumeister.

She is survived by : her children, Darlene Spanjer, Dorothy Doyle (Drayson), Fred Schmid (Karlene), John Schmid (Pam) and David Schmid; her grandchildren, Robert, Paul, Jason Brown, Dan Doyle (Audra), Don Doyle (Janelle), Kayleen Schmid and Josiah Schmid; and her great grandchildren, Brianna Brown, Ashlynn, Drayson, Daxton, Deklen, Avi Elle, Ailee and Anders Doyle.
