He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Hurdley and Lenore Hurdley (Grigson); his mother-in-law Patricia Reddaway; and his wife Constance Root. He is survived by: his sons, Richard Hurdley IV and Robert Hurdley (Nancy); his stepchildren, Walter Root II (Deborah) and Lori Tarbell (Sonny); and his sister Patty Segal. He is also survived by six grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
