He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Arnold Schroeder and Marion Schroeder (Ness); his sister Barb Borgen (Howard) of Rochester; his wife Shirley Schroeder; his children, Cindy Jax (John) of Adams, Julie Borseth (Duane Danielson) of Ankeny, Sue Nesheim (Greg) of Eagan, Steve Schroeder (Audrey) of Adams and Darcy Mullenbach (Brian) of Stewartville; his grandchildren, Eric Jax (Christina), Amy Hahn (Shane), Aaron Jax (Sarah), Kevin Jax (Angie), Kaden Borseth, Jason Borseth, Sarah Westby (Lucas), Kyle Nesheim (Brittany), Leah Crandall (Aaron), Megan Zillgitt (Mike), Mitchell Schroeder (Tony Favre), Matthew Schroeder (Annie) and Danielle Mullenbach; his brothers, Donald Schroeder and Charles Schroeder; and his grandson Adam Nesheim. He was also cherished by 17 great-grandchildren.
The family prefers memorials in lieu of flowers: Lions Club Eye Bank, Little Cedar Church, American Cancer Society.
