He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Blommel and Elizabeth Blommel (Koetter); his stepson Marvin Mareck; his grandchildren, Michael and Ann Mareck; and his siblings, Aloys, Alphonse, Maurus and Bernadine Pohlman.
He is survived by : his stepmother Mary Koetter; his former life partner Frances Mareck; his wife Fran; his children, Dennis Mareck (Marcy), David Mareck (Darlene) of Albany, Kathy Schmitz (Ralph) of Sauk Rapids, Sharon Spanier (Ron) of St. Augusta and Steve Mareck (Theresea) of St. Cloud; his daughter-in-law Kathy Mareck of Chanhassen; his sister Marie Eilers; and his children, Mercy, Jessica and Dr. Libby Brever. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
