With profound sadness, we say goodbye to LeRoy G. Shafer of Alexandria, Minnesota, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Shafer and Louise Shafer (Lane); his wife Cheryl Aleshire; his son Robert Bradley; his brother James; his parents-in-law, Milo and Cecile Aleshire; and his siblings-in-law, Dwight, Terry, Keith Aleshire, Tom O'Hara, Dariel O'Hara and Denese Aleshire.
He is survived by: his sons, Bradley Shafer (Julie) of Alexandria, Steven Shafer (Teresa) of Marriottsville, Mark Shafer (Katie) of Grand Rapids and Dennis Shafer (Pam) of St. Cloud; and his brother Robert Shafer (Karen) of Leonard. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lind Family Funeral Home (1623 10th Ave E, Alexandria, MN 56308). A burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the North Star Cemetery (1901 Cooper Ave S, St Cloud, MN 56301).
