He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilhelm Kuhnau and Cleo Kuhnau (Atz); his siblings, Glen, Don, Bill, Darrell, Roger, Gib and Carol Kuhnau; his siblings-in-law, Robert Rydberg, Patty Kuhnau and Allyn Kuhnau; his nephew Brent Kuhnau; his great-nephew Ryan Rydberg; and his nieces, Tamara Kuhnau, Sheri Major and Wendy Kuhnau.
He is survived by: his siblings, Bob Kuhnau (Mary) of Alexandria, Earl Kuhnau of Kensington, Vic Kuhnau of Alexandria, Doug Kuhnau (Birdie) of Farwell, Dee Rydberg of Alexandria, Myrt Schmidt of Alexandria, Judi Kuhnau of Alexandria, Barb Chan of Alexandria and Kathi Causley (Angus) of Illinois; and his sisters-in-law, Karen M. Kuhnau, Donna Kuhnau and Elaine Kuhnau.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Lind Family Funeral Home (1623 10th Ave E, Alexandria, MN 56308). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 at the Trysil Cemetery.
