He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolph Hartl and Angeline LaCroix Harrison; and his sister Yvonne Pegg. He is survived by: his wife Elaine; his children, Clarissa Rice (Greg), Cassius Hartl (Christa) and Joy Hartl; his grandchildren, Norah and Everett; and his sisters, Barb Rambeck (Neal), Patricia Ravnaas (Norman), Judith Hartl and Joan Hartl.
