He was predeceased by: his former wife Orianne; his parents, Elmer Hylland and Mabel Hylland; his sister Audrey Graham (Elmer); his son-in-law Bruce Burdick; and his nephew Michael Braddock.
He is survived by: his children, Robert (Susan), Wendi Burdick and Joel; and his grandchildren, Kyle, Caitlyn Burdick, Sydney Hylland and Joshua Hylland. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Memorials may be directed to the Marshall County Historical Society in Alden's name.
