She was predeceased by : her parents, Alvin Sunderman and Melinda Sunderman (Otte); her husband Rev. Norman Discher; her daughter Sharon Johnston; and her siblings, LaVern (Jenny), Darrell Sunderman, Leora Sunderman (Max), Darleen Wilson (Robert) and Donald.

She is survived by : her sons, Ken (Lori) of Des Moines, IA and Brian of Eagan, MN; her son-in-law Jeff Johnston of Farmington, MN; her grandchildren, Lee Discher, Bethany West (Jonathan), Courtney Johnston and Luke Johnston; and her sister-in-law Shirley Sunderman. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Christ Lutheran Church (1930 Diffley Rd, Eagan, MN 55122). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to The Concordia Lutheran Seminary, St. Louis, MO, and Christ Lutheran Church, Eagan, MN.
