He is survived by: his parents, David Ellefson of Rochester and Charlotte Ellefson of Rochester; his brother Scott Ellefson of Urbandale; his uncle Gary Karau; and also, Barbara Karau of Rochester and Joan Brown of Rochester. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, maternal and paternal grandparents, aunt and uncle.
