He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Bednar and Lottie Bednar (Kos); his siblings, Helen Neus (Andrew), Mildred Bellrichard (Robert), Donald Bednar (Betty) and Benjamin Bednar; and his nephews, Tom Bellrichard and Gene Bednar.
He is survived by: his spouse Nancy Lee Opsahl; his daughter Sara Lensing (Greg) of McKinney, Texas; his grandchildren, Eric, Alex and Keli; and his sister-in-law Arlene Bednar of Austin, Minnesota. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces.
