He was predeceased by : his parents, Paul Stehr and Angela Stehr (Merten); his former life partner Carol; and his daughter Deborah. He is survived by : his wife Nancy; his children, Paul Stehr (Patty) and Jennifer Fischer (Joel); his grandsons, Paul, Adam, Nicholas, Nathan and Henry; his stepchildren, Bryan Lechner (Kimberly), Paul Lechner and Trista Lechner (Eric Caldier); his stepgrandchildren, Mathias, Anastasia and Caitlin; and his brothers, Tom Stehr (Barbara), Jim Stehr (Linda) and Phillip Stehr (Colleen).

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
