He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Petrowske and Antonia Petrowske; his siblings, Dorothy Johnson, Antoinette Leonhardt and Adolph (Nickie); and his son Karl.
He is survived by: his spouse Florence "Nickie" Soukup of Chicago; his brother Jim; his children, Margaret, Jan Hendrickson (Chuck), Fred (Char), Ruth Gladen (Dennis) and Carol Thoreson (Terry); and his grandchildren, Kris Mallett (Jon), Kurt Petrowske (Tessa), Kraig Petrowske (Tonya), Anne Hochmeyr (Andy), Rick Petrowske (Erin), Kari Webb (Matt), Adam Gladen (Karissa), Kate Nelson (Kyle), Kelsey Gladen, Matthew Thoreson and Amanda Grigg (Jordan). He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
