She was predeceased by: her parents, George F. Penhiter and Alice Penhiter (Hasbrook); her husband Arthur Ervin Tieden; her daughter Lynn Nielsen; and her siblings, George "Bud" and Betty Janske.
She is survived by: her former husband Wendell Nielson; her sons, Robin Nielsen (Terri) of Gravois Mills, MO, Dan Tieden (Hannah) of Alpha, WI and Jeremy Tieden (Lisa) of Bemidji; her stepchildren, Michael Tieden (MeriBeth), Julie George (Rod) of Park Rapids, MN, Karen Kinar (Tim) of Farminton, MN, Nancy Moorhead (Clay) of Mason and Melissa Koebernick (Lowell) of Menahga, MN; and her sisters, Patricia Janske (Tom) of Ogilvie, MN and Ruth Mettler of Springfield, Illinois. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
