He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Anton Donat (Joe) and Mary Donat (Walker); his children, Sheri of Laporte, Sandy (Shannon Raue) of Laporte and Steve (Cat) of Bemidji; his siblings, Sylvester, Donald, Gene, Dale, Beatrice Marty and Lila Jean Connant; his granddaughter Andrea (John Dalton) of Bemidji; and his brother Daryl of Clayton. He was also cherished by his nephews, nieces, cousins.
