He was predeceased by: his son Denis Lee "Denny" Taus; his son-in-law Jason Martine; his great grandchild Jax Lanz; his parents, George Taus and Alice Taus; his parents-in-law, Floyd Morlan and Lou Morlan; his sisters-in-law, Floyd Morlan, Marie Morlan, Robert Morlan, Rosalie Morlan, Richard Morlan and Robert Klemens; and his nephews, David Niemann, Paul Morlan and Steve Morlan.
He is survived by: his children, George K. Taus (Jean) of Bemidji, MN, David Taus of Mountain Iron, MN, Cindy Martine-Barstad and Jennifer Klemens (Mark) of Bemidji; his grandchildren, Chelsy Schmitz (Derek), Morgan Taus, Raquel Lanz (Jordan), Branden Taus, Jason Martine, Ashley Martine (Jesse Castaneda), Amber Barstad (Brandon Headbird), Jared Barstad, Blake Amon (Mandie), Kathryn Nelson (Eric) and Jennifer "Jenna" Klemens; his great grandchildren, Destiny, Paisley, Azalea Schmitz, Jesse Jr., Jace, Joel, Amaya Castaneda, Ellianna Headbird, Lance Jr., Veahra Taus, DelilahRae Lanz, Trinity Lanz, Abbilene Amon, Austin Amon, Hannah, Ava and Keegan Nelson; his siblings, Dennis Taus (Kathie) of Climax, MN, Sharon Scheff (John) of Middle River, MN and Virgil Taus (Milo Pinkerton) of Minneapolis; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Klemens of Little Rock, CA and Mayzelle Morlan of Bemidji.
