He was predeceased by: his mother Carolee "Sally" Klasen (Soule); his sister Carolee Molash; his brother-in-law Walter "Pat" Molash; and his brother Delbert Klasen. He is survived by: his significant other Marcella Binkley of Bemidji; his father John Klasen Jr. of Bemidji; his children, Michael Sherman of Bemidji, John H. Klasen IV of Bemidji, Christopher Klasen of Bemidji, Lillie Olson (Gene) of Bemidji, Sharon Dixon (Jim) of Bemidji and Twila Jesso (Luke) of Coon Rapids; and his brothers, Mike Klasen of Bemidji, Kelly Klasen (Nadene) of Solway, Terry Klasen of Bemidji and Martin William "Bill" Klasen (Jenny) of St. Cloud.
His knowledge and guidance was the foundation of his family and he will be forever missed.
