It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leander Frank Peterka of Bemidji, Minnesota, born in Bagley, Minnesota, who passed away on December 12, 2021, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Peterka and Letha Peterka (Maruska); his wife Genevieve Gladen; his siblings, Wilma Tinnesand, Vangie Collison and Raymond; and his son-in-law Gary Wright.
He is survived by: his daughters, Diane Wright (Dick Jorstad) of Bemidji and Karen MaGaurn of Bemidji; his grandchildren, Jenna Wright of Durango, CO, Anthony Wright of Albuquerque, NM, Carl MaGaurn (Ashley) of Bemidji and Monaya MaGaurn of Bemidji; and his great grandchildren, Breanna Wright of Bemidji, Liam of Bemidji, Hudson of Bemidji and Reagan MaGaurn of Bemidji. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
