He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl "Buster" and Evelyn Gunsalus (Otterstad); his siblings, Russell and Joanne Vance; and his brother-in-law Dean Vance.
He is survived by: his significant other Gayle Quistgard; his daughters, Kim Rogers and Teri Speck (Donny); his grandchildren, Cody, Courtney Gunsalus, Wyatt, Cassidy and Kate Rogers; his great grandchild Molly Gunsalus; his partner's children, Heidi Diercks (Paul) and Shawn Johnson (Kurt); and also, Alia, Aubrey Diercks, Alexia, Jason and Ryder Johnson. He is also survived by niece and nephews.
