He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Thorson and Calma Thorson; his siblings, Catherine and Lowell; and his children, Mark Ness Thorson and Baby Ness Thorson.
He is survived by: his siblings, Ron (Delayne) of Fargo, ND and Karen Kaldor (Darrel) of Lake Nebagamon, WI; and his children, Scott Thorson (Pam) of Bemidji, Duke Thorson (Rhonda) of Huron, OH and Kari Bishop (Jim) of Solway, MN. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
For many years, Wayne was also a charitable philanthropist -- both locally and regionally -- supporting several institutions, foundations and scholarships, mostly in the areas of education and health.
