He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Welsh and Matilda Welsh (Prokosch); his granddaughter Brandy Reiniger; his son-in-law Brad Lippert; his siblings, Jim Welsh and Myrtle Precht; and his siblings-in-law, Paul Larson, Ray Thole and Adeline Welsh.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Serbus of Bird Island; his children, Julie Griffith (Joe) of Bird Island, Kevin Welsh (Marcia) of Spicer, Lori Donald (Doug) of Ventura, CA, Karen Lippert (Paul Erickson) of Spicer and Mark Welsh (Angela) of Woodbury; his grandchildren, Tracy, Nicholas, Kayla, Mariah, Noah, Kyle, Bria, Loren, Tonya, Becca, Kelly, Sydney, Hayley and Hannah; his siblings, Jeanette Larson, Charlene Thole, Larry Welsh (Sara), Ron Welsh (Myrna), Carol Norris (Johnny) and Russ Welsh (Donna); and his brother-in-law Lester Precht. He is also survived by his eight great-grandchildren.
