He was predeceased by : his parents, George and Vlasta Spatenka (Kubat); his wife Janice Myers; his son Jerome Spatenka; his grandson Tim Spatenka; and his siblings, Joyce Johnson, Lorrain Rowe, Calvin Spatenka, Mary Ann Kopp, George Spatenka, Jim Spatenka, Patsy Bock, Richard, Alice and Frank Spatenka.
He is survived by : his children, Joylene "Monkey" Johnson (Gary) of Claremont, Jon "Dude" Spatenka (Kara) of Ellendale and Jeffrey Spatenka of Minnesota; his grandchildren, Brad, Melanie Jortack, Kristine McMahon, Trevor Spatenka, Taelor Spatenka and Dylan Spatenka; and his siblings, Robert Spatenka, Donna Wobschall and Katherine Spatenka-Kyllo. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
