He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Callahan and Mary Callahan (Shatek). He is survived by : his wife Tammy Callahan of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota; his daughters, Stacy Callahan (Michael Jaramillo) and Jessica Johnson (Brandon); his grandchildren, Sophia Johnson, Aubrey Johnson and Logan Johnson; his siblings, Larry Callahan (Debbie), Laurie Sylvester (Richard) and Lois Callahan; his mother-in-law Catherine Shawback; and his siblings-in-law, Donald Shawback, Mary Jo Wallace (Charlie) and Amelia Lim (Lonell). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Blooming Prairie Cancer Group.
