It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lemar Nelson (Blooming Prairie, Minnesota), born in Watertown, South Dakota, who passed away on January 9, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Arthur Nelson and Esther Nelson (Carlson); and his wife Anne Barkley. He is survived by : his daughters, Anne Benson (Vern) of Edina, MN, Teri Hendrickson (Rich) of Richfield, MN and Renee Orrell (James) of New Hope, MN.; his grandchildren, Trista Hansen (Jay), Jesse Benson (Lisa) and Rebecca Hendrickson; his great grandchildren, Tyler Hansen, Anna Benson and Sophia Benson; and his brothers, Randy Nelson (Joy) and Paul Nelson (Sharon). He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like all donations to go to a LeMar Nelson scholarship fund to be set up in the near future.
