Lois Taphorn Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois Taphorn (Blooming Prairie, Minnesota), born in Carroll, Iowa, who passed away on October 22, 2019, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Arnold Hackfort and Agatha Hackfort (Brincks); her husband Robert Taphorn; her brothers, Joseph Hackfort, Eugene Hanckfort and David Hackfort; and her granddaughter Katrina Wessel.
She is survived by : her children, Debbie Wessel (Anthony), Mike Taphorn, Jeff Taphorn (Melissa) and Patrick Taphorn Owatonna; her grandchildren, Ian Wessel, Taryn Wessel and Jeremy Carnicelli; her siblings, Joan Becker, Betty Huegerich (Marvin), Colleen Steffes, Doreen Stueve, Mary Pluckhahn (Wayne), Robert Hackfort (Sue), Nancy Gach, John Hackfort (Linda), Daniel Hackfort (Janice), Karen Kerkhoff (John), Bill Hackfort (Marcia), Panora and Karen Bruch-Hackfort of New London, WI; and also Linda Hackfort. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be directed to the St Columbanus Parking Lot fund.
