She was predeceased by : her parents, Bernard Prokopec and Ethel Prokopec (Lynard); her husband Ernie; and her brother John "Jack" Prokopec (Sylvia). She is survived by : her former life partner Ernest Betlach; her children, Donald (Linda Malecha) of Owatonna, Bradley (Peter Carlson) of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Kathryn Sturm (Joseph T.) of Madison Lake and Debra Cerny (David) of Madelia, Minnesota; and her sister Kathyrn "Sharon" Schroeder (LeRoy). She is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Memorials are preferred to St. Columbanus Catholic Church, Blooming Prairie Ambulance, or the Blooming Prairie Education Foundation.
