He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Thiesse and Minnie Thiesse; his wife Lois Irene Stanley; his son-in-law William Cahoon (Karen); and his siblings, Kermit, Edwin, Harold, Wayne, Erwin and Ruby Wareing (Malen).
He is survived by: his children, Dwight Thiesse (Linda), Karen Cahoon (William), Gary Thiesse (Karen), Dorene Tautges (Chico), Loren Thiesse (Debra) and Lorna Heidmann (RJ); and his sister Carol Schenk (Arnold). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Park United Methodist Church.
