He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Kappel and Helen Kappel; his brother Gordon Kappel (Betty); his sister-in-law Phyllis Kappel; and his niece Kori Kappel.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene Kappel; his brother Robert Kappel; his children, Steve, Kathleen and Susan; and his sibling's children, Glen, Carl Kappel and Brenda Kappel. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
