He was predeceased by: his mother Barbara Thomes (Pluth). He is survived by: his father Ray Thomes; his wife Verna Quaintance; his children, Rachel Fratzke (Luke), Ellen Thomes and Stefan Thomes; his stepsons, Klint Quaintance (Nicole) and Todd Quaintance (Laura); his grandchildren, Liam, Ryker, Rachael, Lauren, Gabriel and Paige (Derek); his siblings, Greg Thomes (Betty), Cathy Behrens, Judy Thomes, Chris Thomes (Ann) and Brian Thomes; and his siblings-in-law, Art McClaren (Nola) and Mary Lou Beier (Sonny). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
