He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Zakrzewski and Helen Zakrzewski (Yelli); and his sister-in-law Sharron. He is survived by: his wife Sarah George; his daughters, Rhonda Tougas Zakrzewski (Allan), Brenda Compton (Darrell) and Coralea Borden (Matt); his grandchildren, Tiffany (Tom), Daniel (Jess), Lee (Brianna), Amanda (Tim), Zachary (Travis), Emma and Jacob; and his siblings, Tom Zakrzewski, Pat Petersen, Gary Zakrzewski (Sharon), Eddie Zakrzewski (Beth), Slyvia Frear (Greg) and Donnie Zakrzewski (Charol). He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the National Kidney Foundation.
