He was predeceased by: his parents, Merwin Cheney and Irma Cheney (Fair); his siblings, Gary and Mary; and his nephew Duane.
He is survived by: his former wife Elaine Cheney (Fruth); his children, Debra and Duane; his wife Karen (Koop); his daughter Deb Cole (Rick); his grandson Anthony Cole (Nicole); and his sisters, Terry Orton (Jay), Sue Zilligan and Diane Cheney.
