He was predeceased by: his siblings, Edwin, Earl, Arnold, Martha, Beatrice and Ruth; and his former wife Bernice.
He is survived by: his wife Lois; his daughters, Linda Bloomgren (Barry) and Jody Bjerknes (Todd); his grandchildren, Kelsey Farmer (Dan), Britta Bjerknes (Steve Kawecki), Barry Bloomgren Jr and David Bloomgren (Jenna); his great grandchildren, Jackson, Eden, Crosby Farmer, Amelia, James Mae Kawecki, Hendrick, Owen and Annie Bloomgren; and his brother-in-law Don Phillips (Marylaine).
Memorials preferred to First Lutheran Church, Shriners Hospital for Children, and Knute Nelson Foundation.
