She was predeceased by: her grandson Jace Conway Cheatwood; her parents, Mervin Troy Moats and Margaret Jane Moats (Sharpe); and her brother Daniel Lee Moats. She is survived by: her husband Cye Powell; her children, Cassandra Moats, Ashley Cheatwood (Justin) and Whitney Powell; her grandsons, Jacob Cheatwood and Mark Tomte; and her siblings, Barbara Denardo (Michael), Diane Rosenow (Michael), Douglas Moats (Roberta) and Susie Dunn (Tom). She is also survived by friends, she had wonderful and funny sense of humor along with a very quick wit, a deep passion and love for her many sweet animals.
