He was predeceased by: his wife Iva Lou; his parents, Denzil and Mary; and his siblings, George and Hannah.

He is survived by: his children, Bruce and Rebecca; his grandson Joshua Young (Ame); his great grandchild Chelsea; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Downing. He is also survived by several nieces and a nephew.
