He was predeceased by: his parents, George Ribbel and Myrtle Ribbel; his former spouse David Knaggs; his sisters, Marilyn Zeeb (Marvin) and Joan DeRocher (Earl); his stepson David Knaggs; and his son-in-law H. David Frambers.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne Wright Knaggs; his children, Suzanne Frambers, Steven Ribbel (Miriam Webber), William Ribbel (Deborah Jacobs) and Catherine Edel (Stephen); his grandchildren, Kay Olson (Bradley), Jeannie Berg (Ryan) and Anna Ribbel; his sister Mary Kendall (Mike); his stepchildren, Bart Knaggs (Barbara Scroggie) and Ryan Knaggs (Courtney George); his stepgrandchildren, Frances Knaggs, Samantha Knaggs, Caroline Knaggs, Isabella Knaggs, Alexandra Knaggs Nick Miller and Andy Miller; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Emerson, Everett, Greta and Theodore Miller. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to The Brainerd Lakes Area Foundation or St Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd, MN.
