She was predeceased by : her parents, Carl Smestad and Bernice Smestad (Kvamme); and her sister-in-law Dorothy Smestad. She is survived by : her daughters, Shannon Schaefer (Ed) and Stefanie Birnbaum (Patrick); her grandchildren, Adara Gebro, Zach Gebro (Dani Neu), Mason Schaefer, Abbigael Krump and Charles Krump; and her siblings, Carolyn Flom (Terry), Randy Smestad and Paul Smestad.
