He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Bofferding and Minerva Bofferding; his sister Carolyn (Daryl Prehoda); his children, James Bofferding, John Bofferding and Diana Bofferding; and his granddaughter Katie Bofferding (Getchell).

He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his daughter Deb Zafft (Gregg); his stepdaughters, Tami Reed and Kim Balder (Bernie); his daughter-in-law Patty Bofferding; his grandchildren, Sarah, Blair, Derrick, Brittney, Jenna, Kristine, Josh, Emily, Blake and Michael; and his great grandchildren, Adison, Gracelyn and Ginevra.

In lieu of flowers a donation to - Mayo Clinic Rochester - directed to cancer research can be made.
