It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Philipsen (Brooten, Minnesota), who passed away on May 20, 2019, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ingval Iverson and Ida Iverson (Haugen); her husband Herman Philipsen; and her siblings, Milo, Leslie, Richard Iverson and Ione Grundseth.
She is survived by: her children, Helen, Gary Philipsen (Helen) of Pueblo, CO, Nancy Turner (George) of Willmar, Warren Philipsen (Muriel) of Aurora, CO and Joy Rooney (Darrell) of Belgrade; her grandchildren, Steve (Shannon), Geoffrey Philipsen (Chrysta), Amy Stocking (Tom), Paul Vegoe, Michelle Matukewicz (Jeff), Nathan (Courtney), Justin (Melissa), Jacob (Andrea) and Brady Rooney (Heidi); her great grandchildren, Alex, Isaac Philipsen, Reece Kopacek, McKenzie Stocking, Emily Malecha (Zach), Max, Avalyn Matukewicz, Noah, Natalie, Ty, Josie, Paisley Rooney, Grayson, Malley, Maddux Rooney, Anna and Violet Rooney; her great great grandchildren, Aden and Emmet Malecha; and her sister Lillian Madsen of Belgrade. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
