It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Zona Baalson (Brooten, Minnesota), who passed away on February 22, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert O. Friese and Louise E. Friese (Langer); her husband Erling; her grandsons, Marcus and Matthew Baalson; and her daughters-in-law, Carrie Baalson and Karen Baalson.
She is survived by: her children, Duane Baalson (Deb) of Renville, Ione Pillard (Rick) of Brooten, Peter Baalson of New London and Janet Raveling (Jason) of Brooten; her grandchildren, Christopher Gjelhaug, Charles Baalson (Nicole Wobker), Sarah Baalson, Michael Dean (Ranae Resey), Jeron Baalson, Jacob Raveling and Jessica Raveling; and her siblings, Courtney Friese, Marlin "Bootsy" Friese (Betty), Evonne Anne Henze, Avonne Kay Brock (John E. "Jack") and Lorna Dierks (John). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
