He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto J. Sr. Kaschmitter and Elizabeth Kaschmitter (Friedmann); his wife Nora Kruger; and his siblings, Verena Spencer, Leon, George, Mary Paine, Therese Binsfeld, Otto Jr. and Bill.

He is survived by: his sisters-in-law, Jean Kaschmitter and Marilyn Kaschmitter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
